REFINE THIRD ADVISORY BOARD MEETING

When: Thursday, 26th January, 10am – 12:30pm CET

Where: Online (MS Teams)

Open To: All REFINE Advisory Board Members, financial institutions and EES providers in Europe

The third Advisory Board Meeting of the REFINE-project will take place on Thursday the 26th of January 2023. The REFINE External Advisory Board plays a strategic role in the project and provides experience, advice and feedback on how to achieve the overall project objectives. The advisory board consists of representatives of key institutions such as EI, EEFIG, Croatian Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds (MA) and international commercial funds.

A brief status update of the project and overview main topics to be discussed during the Advisory Board Meeting is outlined below. More information including all reports and tools developed so far is accessible through the project website: https://refineproject.eu/

Status of the REFINE-project

With the aim to uncap the full potential of energy efficiency services (EES) in the different market segments, the EU-funded REFINE project contributes to the supply of sufficient and attractive financing sources through refinancing schemes enabling EES providers to clean up their balance sheet, thus gaining financial leeway for new projects. The project started with a market assessment and the analysis of case studies. This was followed by the elaboration of supporting tools and services for the application of refinancing in the EES business.

In the last few months, the project team has focused on the implementation and analysis of the pilot applications. The third Advisory Board Meeting will thus focus on a discussion and critical evaluation of the outcomes and conclusions gained from the field test, in particular:

  • Short presentation of most insightful pilot applications conducted in the different participating countries
  • Discussion on how the developed tools and concepts were applied during the pilot applications
  • First preliminary conclusions from the pilots will be presented and critically discussed
